Alexander McQueen Fall RTW 2012

Every season, it's more and more obvious why the masterpieces of Alexander McQueen were showcased in the Metropolitan Museum of Art here in New York.  I'm always blown away by every piece that the designers create in McQueen's name posthumously.  If McQueen's aesthetic isn't for you, there's no doubting the incredible workmanship of these pieces.  Always a much anticipated fall showcase.

Fall 2012 RTW Favorites! Alberta Ferretti

Everyone season, Alberta Ferretti shows us a bold, yet elegant woman through her RTW line.  With each bold look, Ferretti uses delicate mesh and feathers to bring a feminine touch to her statement looks.  The bold purple looks speak for themselves, and only a woman with unwavering confidence would dare don one of these pieces.  Looking at one of only two white looks, the below featured white coat will stand out on the winter streets whether you're in New York or Hong Kong.

Lost & Found

It's been quite a while since this blog has been active.  I've seemed to lost my way, but I've found my way back, and I'm now announcing my return and complete overhaul of my blog.  In addition to not only previewing the season lines and my own personal fashion moments, I'm overly excited to announce that I will now be including collaborations, regular features of friends in the industry, NYC street fashion (once I get that camera!) and hopefully by the end of the year, my very own designs! Look out for cross social media, including Twitter and Facebook, so keeping up will be easy.  Thanks for all the support, and leave comments, comments, and comments!

Cole Haan Love Making

On my way back home from Sheep Meadow today, I irresponsibly wandered into The Shops at Columbus Circle with full intentions on buying something to satiate my need to constantly bring new and exciting things into my life.  I stopped in at Cole Haan, and ended up replacing my old Coach card holder with a something a little more fashion-forward than brown leather, though the version I had in a deep brown is a classic piece.  I also scored a new pair of suede oxfords, though mine are darker than what's pictured here. My growing shoe collection is up to twelve pairs, with about six pairs that I wear regularly. I'm pretty sure I need shopping rehab.

Making Love to Mac

So I've finally have bought the MacBook Air.  I've been talking about getting it all year, and when I went to Best Buy to pick up a wireless mouse for my PC, I said fuck it, and just got it.  I've been making disgusting and inappropriate love to my new Mac all night long.  I'm having a continual technological orgasm over here. I can see why people use this for the arts; the aesthetics of Macs are inspiring.
With that said, I hope to actually update regularly, now that I have something that makes it enjoyable. I'm also making this post so people know where I am when I'm M.I.A.: in my room on my Mac.
Even though the fall preview has been out for months, I hope to cover most of it this week.  Get ready for actual fashion posts! And leave comments! It gives my blog more buzz on search engines!

American Fashion

So apparently I've been partying since February, and I've finally slowed down enough to give my blog a little attention.

American Fashion is a comprehensive look at our nation's fashion as understood through cultural and world events that affected not only our lives as Americans, but as well as the rest of the global community. This publication details how women's fashion evolved through the 20th century, bringing us up to present time.  Commissioned by the CFDA, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, American Fashion gives one insight period by period as to why the American woman is dressed the way she is today.

I've only just begun to delve into its three hundred plus pages, including full-color photographs that give necessary visuals, but I already feel like I have a better understanding of fashion as we know it here in America.

Pellegrino Meets Missoni

Sorry for being completely absent for the past couple of weeks. Life has gotten crazy, and I haven't had much time or energy to blog - but I'm back!

So there was a bottle of Pellegrino at work, and I didn't even notice until I was half way done with it that San Pellegrino has partnered with Missoni to create an amazing label with the fashion house's famous print.

How wonderful is it that we can drink great water that's dressed as well as we would hope to be? Now only if we could get a bottle with a Chanel label on it...
